Requirement to teach children.
Deuteronomy 6:7
7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest
down, and when thou risest up.
Requirement to display in homes.
Deuteronomy 6:9
9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
They are the only verses that we are commanded to post in our homes.
Therefore, the Ten Commandments is the most important passage of Scripture.
The commandments put into the Ark of the Covenant.
Deuteronomy 10:1-5, 8
1 At that time the LORD said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.
2 And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which
thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.
3 And I made an ark of shittim wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand.
4 And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the
day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them unto me.
5 And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as the LORD commanded me.
8 At that time the LORD separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day.
Jesus Christ fulfilled the Law!
Matthew 5:17
“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy,
but to fulfil.”
No man has ever fulfilled (kept) the Law!!
Romans 3:19-28
“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law:
that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight:
for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law
is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God
which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace
through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation
through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past,
through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just,
and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded.
By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified
by faith without the deeds of the law.”
