Our best tips and
instructions for making your project a great success:
1. Pray without
ceasing. Call the Christian bookstores in your area and have
them refer inquiries to you. Most of them know this is a
witnessing project and are glad to help. We also refer
inquiries back to the local churches.
2. Have your church
members get their signs up as soon as possible, the more
that goes up the faster it will catch fire. Also, be sure
to put the sign up yourself for all who give a
donation, or they may lay it back. Trust the voice of
experience on this, the more and faster they go up the
easier it gets for you. Remember doors are open to
members of other churches who do not participate. Cull
nobody; you will be surprised how this opens the door of
the rich as well as the poor. Remember it is the Holy
Spirit going before you.
3. Pair up in couples if
possible, you are looking at 1-3 hours per 10 signs. Per
couple.
4. Your tools: 10 signs,
25 stickers, 25 study guides, for each couple. We
suggest wearing a Ten Commandment or American Flag
t-shirt. And carry in your hand a Bible Story sample
Book just like you see in the doctor’s office. These will not
only SERVE to hold the stickers and study guides, but
also, just like the shirts, they are a good show of your
Protestant faith. Being experienced door knockers we have
learned to use every edge possible to not appear as
people from certain false religions. Most people have at
least one of these books in their home already and know they are a
Protestant legacy. In the case your members
who participate don’t already own the bible story books, they don’t have to go out and pay almost five hundred
dollars for a set. We will supply you with as many
sample books as you need at our discount cost of $20.
5. You are ready to go. Pray
that the Holy Spirit go before you and give you the
right words. Remember that it does not take a sales
person, just a willingness to take the gospel. The Holy
Spirit will do the work and use the signs to open the
door. Simply tell them who you are, what you are doing
and why. Example, "Hello I am John with 1st Baptist
Church trying to raise funds for a mission trip. They sell these signs in
bookstores for $10, but we are asking for a
donation of any amount. And you get a sticker and a Ten
Commandment study with it." Note: do not ask for
$10 or that’s all you will get. Most give $10, some $20
and some $5. It always works out between $12 to $15
per sign. Two or three out of ten will let you
keep the sign but still give a donation.
Do try to get a bumper
sticker on their car so they will be marked for
follow-up. Follow up is key. Every sign, and every
sticker means that they have had an awesome bible study
seed planted in their home. The harvest is plenty but
few are they who go back to the house and ask, hey
friend did you read that Bible study guide that came
with the sign? And if so do you have any
questions?
6. Some will plead broke.
Tell them you understand, and that you are going to give
them a bumper sticker and Ten Commandment study anyway,
if they will promise to read it. Pray with them then
watch as the Holy Spirit grabs their hearts and they
suddenly find ten dollars.
7. Some will really want
to help but just can’t. But you can still help them by
giving them a Bible study guide and a sticker. Then
offer to pray for/with them. We do not have to tell you
that you are going to find people who are hurting and
in need of a friend, that is what this is about.

Ten Commandments Ministries brings you these Weekly Bible Verses:
Matthew 2
10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy.
11 And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
12 Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way.
What is the greatest commandment?
Deuteronomy 6:5
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
Matthew 22:36-38
35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
